Slide Remote Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
Slide Remote is a mobile and desktop companion system designed to help users control slide presentations from a mobile device. This Privacy Policy explains how Slide Remote handles information when you use the mobile app and desktop client.
1. Local Presentation Control
Slide Remote connects your mobile device and computer through a local network connection for presentation control.
Presentation commands, pairing details, and local connection activity are handled between your paired devices. Conversantech does not operate a cloud server for slide control, presentation commands, pairing history, keystroke logs, or user activity logs.
2. Camera Access
The mobile app may request camera permission only to scan the QR code displayed by the desktop client for quick device pairing.
Camera data is processed locally in real time. Slide Remote does not record, save, upload, or share camera images or video.
3. Bluetooth Access
On Android, Slide Remote may request Bluetooth permissions, including Bluetooth Connect and Bluetooth Advertise, to support the optional Bluetooth Keyboard Mode. This feature allows the mobile device to send slide navigation commands to a paired computer.
Because this mode emulates a standard hardware Bluetooth keyboard (HID), it works with any presentation software, document viewer, PDF reader, browser, or app that accepts standard keyboard controls without any application-specific restrictions.
Slide Remote does not collect, store, or transmit Bluetooth device addresses, Bluetooth pairing logs, or keyboard input history.
4. Desktop System Permissions
Depending on the operating system and selected control mode, the desktop client may request accessibility, input-control, or similar system permissions.
These permissions are used only to send presentation-control commands, such as next slide, previous slide, start presentation, or end presentation, to supported presentation applications.
The desktop client does not record, monitor, store, or upload typed content, keystrokes, or user activity.
5. Advertising
The mobile app may display advertisements through Google AdMob.
Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect or process certain information, such as device identifiers, IP address, app interaction information, diagnostic information, and advertising-related information. This information may be used to serve, measure, limit, or personalise advertisements, depending on the user’s region, consent choices, device settings, and advertising configuration.

6. Internet Access
Slide Remote uses local network connectivity for mobile-to-desktop pairing and presentation control.
Internet access may also be used to load advertisements, provide advertising-related services, and support app updates where applicable.
7. Data Security
Slide Remote uses locally generated pairing credentials to help prevent unauthorised devices on the same local network from controlling the paired desktop client.
However, no network, device, or software system is completely secure. Users should use trusted Wi-Fi networks, protect their devices, and avoid sharing pairing codes with unknown persons.
8. Third-Party Services
Slide Remote may use Google AdMob for advertising.
Google and other third-party service providers may process data according to their own privacy policies and terms. Conversantech is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or services of third-party providers.
9. Children’s Privacy
Slide Remote is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of Slide Remote after an update means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
